Two Weeks Old

Remember my rookie mistake of forgetting to put a bow in Evie's hair last week?  I think I more than made up for it this week with this adorable vintage-esque bow from @pinknbluecouture.  They have the most darling bows & I have a few of my own that I cannot wait for Evie to wear.  It was still a bit big for her head, but this Mama DGAF, man.  

At two weeks old, it looks like Evie's eyes may lighten up & turn out blue or maybe even hazel, like mine.  She most definitely got her Daddy's long eyelashes.  She despises her sponge baths.  And we discovered she has an upper lip tie, which explains the latching issues I have had breastfeeding her (don't worry, I am not stopping or giving up that easily).  Her umbilical cord fell off, which makes me feel like she is an official baby & no longer a newborn for some reason.  Collin came home & got to hold & love on her this week, also.  Needless to say, it's been a big week for our little sister child.

Seriously, you guys?  How did I get so lucky?  This sweet little girl is my daughter?!  And that handsome man is my husband?!  And that silly giant three year old is my son?! I feel so incredibly blessed these days.  Yes, it's hectic & crazy & downright hard right now in our world, but damn am I one blessed lady.
